CHESS STRUCTURES, A GRANDMASTER GUIDE

University of Minnesota grad student, GM Mauricio Flores Rios has authored a book titled Chess Structures, A Grandmaster Guide that provides an in-depth study of the 28 most common structures in chess. This guide of select model games shows each structure’s ideas, plans and typical pitfalls to avoid. The book contains 50 positional exercises. Mauricio will be lecturing at the 2015 Golden Gopher Open. Plan to attend and learn from this very instructive player. Mauricio also lectures at the University of Minnesota Chess Club and is playing in local events. Mauricio played in the Rochester Spring Open and is currently playing in the Chess Castle Wednesday Knighter at the Castle Chess Club in NE Minneapolis.
